If you’re a Salt Lake Home Show regular, by now you may be familiar with our favorite local chef, Nettie Frank. She’s a staple to our Kitchen Stage lineup and we’re excited to have her back again for the Salt Lake Tribune Home & Garden Festival this weekend. This Utahan is the inspired creator behind Beyond Glaze Doughnuts and Silver Whisk Catering. Nettie has some new tricks up her sleeve. This time on the Kitchen Stage she will be showing guests how to incorporate fresh ingredients into some of her favorite comfort foods.
Do you remember Nettie from her prime time debut on the Food Network's Cake Wars? At the Salt Lake Tribune Home + Garden Festial, we will be taking Cake Wars to the local level with the Ultimate Cake-Off, a live cake bake-off, hosted by Nettie! This sweet competition will feature two talented bakers in a head-to-head competition. A panel of judges will evaluate them based on creativity and skill. Following the bakeoff, audience members will have the opportunity to participate in a cake auction! Proceeds from the auction will go to support Primary Children’s Hospital.
